Liberalism tries to stop teachings of Christianity & prevent those with mental problems from coming to Jesus for help & healing.
This young man wanted to die but to also be famous. He was a suicide killer.
Who is the author of suicide killings?
It is written in the bible that those who hate God, love death. They don't want people to find salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

I am not writing that Liberals hate God. Just some of them. And they love death. I know a lot of liberals love God & love freedom found in Christ Jesus. But this was a hard question to write clearly obviously.

Proud Mom, I don't think this guy ever was saved. So? He killed others & then himself. So he is in hell fire. That is sad & I am sure his mom is really hurting inside. I feel sad.

Ironcxity, I don't want this to happen in USA anymore. We have stopped outside the US terrorist wannabe attacks. But there have been US young adults or teens committing terrorist acts in the US. We shouldn't have one incident of this. This shouldn't happen. There are reasons these have happened. & I believe some forms of 'Liberalism' is just one of the reasons. There are many. I do love liberty. But I love liberty & justice for all.

Slim, I was healed from a 1yr breakdown at a church. The 3rd time I went forward, the Pastor put His hand above my head or on my head, & I was overfillled with the Holy Spirit. This is the anointing, the Spirit of Truth who leads to all truth. And that night was the first sound sleep I had in a year. And I continued to have sound sleeps. And I healed. That was my healing. And I went to Church & heard the Word of God preached. And that was healing. God sent His Word & healed us of all our diseases. He isn't just any higher power. He Is the Highest Power. The devils themself are a higher power. If you let them be. Like this kid did.

I agree that if we were a more God-focused society, things like this might not happen as often. It's a crying shame that a young person has no regard for the value of a life - including his own. God made all of us in His own image and we deserve to be here until it is HIS time to take us home.
I also blame the people who advocate gun rights. In this case as well as the case of the Va Tech shooting, somehow mentally unstable people have easy access to firearms. Something has to be done.
::EDIT:: Fore Bonesofa, according to an article on Yahoo!, this young man did have a lot of treatment for his mental disabilities. The state spent over $200,000 trying to help him with depression, drug addictions and other mental issues.
::2nd Edit:: I've been checking in on this question and I'm sad to hear that so many people believe that this is the gunman's problem. Period. When innocent people are killed like this, I think it is society's problem. When parents don't feel safe sending their offspring to school (due to the recent school shootings), when college students don't feel safe attending classes, when people don't feel safe at work anymore - wow. When everyday activities become a stressful chore because of random violence, it becomes everyone's problem. It is one that cannot be solved on an individual level.

You are completely correct if he was a true Christian he would not have done that.
If he was a Chrisna or a Mormon, a catholic Lutheran he also would not have done that.
If he was a well adjusted person he wouldn’t have done that. If he would have had a car accident on the way to the mall and the gun went off and shot him he wouldn’t have done it. If a meteor 14 miles wide came flying at him through the atmosphere while desinigrating to the size of a dime and struck him in the head at 250mph it would not have happened.

For those that need simple answers to complex problems, and those whose minds aren't capable of considering the complicated factors that contribute to tragedies, it's very appealing to point the finger as you have just done. At the very least, it's obvious to all that you have no idea what liberalism is.
The only entity preventing proper care for the mentally ill is the federal government which has cut funding while simultaneously increasing funding for its Iraq invasion and subsequent Civil War. If you wish to look for who's responsible, start with the Congress and President.
It's sad, really. Like you, I am a Christian. But, I wish to use Jesus's words ... "Blessed are..." rather than the regretful message of blame and intolerance. I'll pray for you.

I don't think liberalism explicitly tries to stop the teachings of Christianity and prevent those with mental problems from coming to Jesus for help. In fact I would ask you to explain just how it does that. I am truely curious.
Liberalism lets you believe whatever you want. You can teach it to your kids, stand in public and tell everyone who will listen what you think without being persecuted. If you can convince someone to come to Jesus for help, liberalism will not stand in your or their way.

I'm a conservative, but this blame game is just bull honky. Everybody is always looking for someone to blame. Atheist liberals will complain that this kid should not have had access to guns. Well, everybody is missing the bigger picture. There are bad people even in strict religious societies--Buddhists, Christians, Muslims--despite the peaceful, loving messages of the religions. To blame liberals for this is really degrading to all Democrats. I know good and moral people who are liberal and they would never condone or promote anything like this. What we need to do is to look and this and say, "Here was a desperate person at the end of their rope with no morals and no conscience," and leave it at that, and not try to find somebody to blame.

well, i tend to lie it more at the feet of the decisions we make as a society. there are no resources to help people like the shooter. but there are plenty of resources for iraq, tax breaks for the rich, some people are having their own lear jets etc but there's no resources allocated to help troubled teens. mental health treatment is woefully underfunded. we can conquer other countries but we don't take care of our own. troubled americans kill a lot more americans than terrorists so i think that's where the resources should go. to treating the mentally ill and marginalzied instead of blaming them for thier own problems and telling them to lump it.

As one who lives in the city in question your question makes no sense.
Sure we can blame liberalism for failings in the Mental Health system that have mainstreamed people who 30 years ago would have been locked away in one of three state hospitals.
He had a history of involvement with the courts and mental health system from a very early age. I've worked in the field treating people like this and I know of several people who because of liberal mainstreaming mental health laws are out walking the streets.
As a gun rights advocate I do think while CCW is important, I do not believe it would have done much good in this particular incident.. CCW is a deterent against personal acts of violence. This act was an impersonal act. Would it had made a difference? Maybe and maybe not. That is moot. It is not an assault rifle, it is a semi-auto firearm. The media and the police are quick to call a weapon an assault rifle to make a political issue of the "gun". We are a society need to stop doing that. The problem is not the tool it is the individual. Existing gun laws INCLUDING the recent passage of HR2640 (he had a felony record and the NICS background check would have black listed him from a legal purchase) as he STOLE the gun. People will get into pissing match the use of this particular firearm on adnaseum, I know people that use semi-auto firearms for deer and coyote hunting and shooting paper targets. It is a sporting weapon as any.
God and "Jesus" had nothing to do with this kid. He was from a broken home, and was a ward of the state for 6 of the last 8 years.
Fact is I've met nut jobs who have "religion" and are just as crazed as the shooter.
Do we teach our kids to value life? Do we teach our kids to respect others? do we teach our kids to stand up against the b*llsh&t that occurs in schools?
As a parent I do value my faith in a power greater then myself. My children are active in their youth groups. Sure we can give them tools. But the kids that are generally the one perpetrating random acts of insanity are not from intact homes. They have a very skewed view of reality.
My wife is a therapist in the schools, she knows of at least 6 kids in the middle school in which she works that have expressed homocidal ideation. The school is aware of it, yet the parents do absolutely nothing about it.
Choice is the one thing our higher power gives us above all things. Choice for these kids are deluded..
Mental health issues can't be treated by laying on of hands. In fact I think the laying on of hands is representative of SOME the nutcases touting Jesus as their savior.
This kid needed structure and got none at home, while in state custody and at the school.
We need to bring back the "Board of Education" and long term psychiatric hospitals to lock these desparate people away from society to protect them from society, and vice versa and to keep them from getting messianic complexes but drugging the piss out of them with haliperidol.

Well then I am SO glad we have the compassionate , NRA-lovin, Second Amendment-wavin' conservatives in Congress that refuse to ban semi-automatic rifles. Otherwise, some nut job could take one into a public gathering, like a shopping mall, and kill people.

Some crazy person doesn't get the help he needs because of Republican policies. He has easy access to a Russian made assault rifle because of Republican policies.
And someone wants to blame it on liberals?
Some people are really really sick.
And what makes you think that Republicans are more religious than liberals? They certainly don't follow the teachings of Jesus in either their personal behavior or their policies. And, btw, in case you hadn't noticed. There are religions other than Christianity. I can think of several, including Judaism - the religion that Jesus actually practiced.
