If you had the power, what would you change about the hockey section, or anything about yahoo answers?

Thanks for the replies everyone.
LITY- those questions involving cups and girls are annoying
Good ideas PuckDat. The trolls are annoying, as well as questions in the wrong section(but those are the questions that get a lot of funny answers) Monthly awards- I like that
Haley and Awesome Bill- I have only been here a month and am already sick of those questions
Andrew V- The hockey bashing answers need to stop
mplsundin- I've noticed some questions getting deleted as well...
Laying Low- lol, I do that as well sometimes.
cme- you give good answers ;)
Green- Vodka?
good suggestions everyone

How would you know about the cliques if you've been a member since December 7th, 2007(today)?

Give field hockey it's own section.
Award bonus points for good questions (what exactly do stars do does anyone know?)
Create a section enforcer/editor to eliminate the trolls, weed out the inappropriate questions, move questions to the right section and settle voting ties.
Give the enforcer/editor the right to award points to good answers that don't get chosen as best answer.
Just make it more user friendly and clean out the trolls in general.
Maybe add some monthly awards for top answerer, best question. Most thumbs up on an answer.
Oh and speaking of trolls, Jude has another account (Judge Rheinhold).

I would augment the system to filter out such questions as:
Who's gonna win the Stanley Cup?
Why are the Canadiens called the Habs?
Who is LITY?
Where can I send an e-mail to Gary Bettman?
Does (so-and-so) have a girlfriend?
What is Sidney Crosby's phone number?
It's gone beyond beating a dead horse. Now they are beating the gravestone of the dead horse.
In other areas:
I'd make it mandatory for all female users to post a recent picture of themselves.
I'd make Awesome Bill use a HOCKEY avatar.
I'd make a section just for bandwagon fans. If they would want entry into the REAL hockey fan category, they would have to undergo a thorough approval process from the "regulars" in this section.
I'd make a monthly selection for Best Question and award 25 points to the winner, as well as a Funniest Answer. (We might have to name that one the CME Award or the Puckdat Trophy)
JUDGE: I'm too old to worry about being cool. Besides, my nieces and nephew think I'm "The Greatest" and that is fine with me. Your friend got him/herself suspended - nobody else. And why don't you have me at the head of the list?

It appears to me that Yahoo does not have the manpower to successfully manage Yahoo! Answers as a whole, therefore, I would stop trying to "improve" answers until I got everything under control. I've seen countless questions and answers be deleted that are in no way harmful to the Yahoo Answers environment. This pretty much relates to the whole reporting aspect of answers. If yahoo doesn't have the manpower to manage the reporting section it just needs to be taken out or replaced by some sort of zero tolerance policy. I think it's stupid how questions about the Av's putting in a trash can as goalie can disappear, but yet people can get away with racial slurs and other unwelcome words by simply putting *#(@$#(*'s in to replace characters. Letting users police themselves is not a system that works. In my mind that has been proven. It also leaves open a wide range of moral values from none upto someone who makes Mother Theresa look immoral. Then throwing in a patchwork of rules to govern us all which are full of loopholes really doesn't help the matter. There has probably been anarchies that run better than that.
P.S. It might help to just do away with the whole points system. Shouldn't people be on here to just share questions and answers? Why do we need points as an incentive to contribute?

I am in agreement with most of the suggestions except a few:
1) Don't eliminate "how do I play better", or "tips for working on ??, questions. Is this a hockey section or just a NHL blog, besides those are the only best answers I can get.
2) Tracy Terry is hilarious - they are the most answered and most read questions of all - I laugh my butt off at the responses. She is welcome in my hockey section.

interior the previous, I pronounced merely approximately each lost question I got here to, yet then it merely have been given to be too lots of a complication, extraordinarily because of the fact no longer something improve into being carried out. i might think of they had have the experience to a minimum of restoration it by ability of the season opener, yet i comprehend this ought to no longer take place. we've tried each little thing - putting techniques, reporting incorrect section questions, putting up with this for over 2 months...it is merely easily insupportable that it hasn't been fastened yet. How does Yahoo anticipate to maintain its clientele on the positioning in the event that they have not carried out a damn ingredient in 2 months. thoroughly ridiculous...

I would divide the category to have two subcategories. One being for field hockey and the other for ice hockey. I am starting to get sick and tried of seeing field hockey questions here and that is the only way to solve the problem.

Enlist Dora the Explorer and find a way to lose the "Grumpy Old Troll Who Lives Under The Bridge"
Hire some nice men in the white coats to take away Sybil and his multiple-personality disorder.
Make Y!A use real people instead of their stupid computerized programs for reviewing violations and deletions.
Personally: try to ask more, and better, questions
give more insightful answers, sometimes I try to be too funny (unsuccessfully) instead of answering the ?

I think a subcatergory on fantasy hockey would be good. So people could discuss their fantasy team options.
Oh and I dont want to see the "who is better, Sidney Crosby or Ovechkin question anymore".......argh

LITY, none can outrace the dead horse that belongs to Mike and myself. We've been training that zombie bastard since July. lol
I think it's all been mentioned. Another one is a better filter for the random questions like "Who has a shot at love?" WHAT THE FRAK IS THAT?! It's not even sports! Hell, it's not even...anything else!
