Yes for this reason alone - that it doesn't support ActiveX. ActiveX is the single biggest security vulnerability in Internet Explorer.

Oh and it's developed by real people :) there are lots and lots of browser extensions developed for it by real people; they can make your browsing a whole lot easier, productive and more fun. It updates itself too, so you don't have to visit Windows Updates or wait for Automatic updates to get the IE updates. In my experience Firefox is faster too.

I highly recommend Firefox (it's much better than IE).

In this review, CNET Prizefight Internet Explorer 7 vs. Firefox 2, Firefox wins in every category.

Firefox is better in every way including, installation woes, look and community, tabbed browsing, cool new features, security and performance. The winner is clearly Firefox 2.

Yep. More secure. Add-ons so's you can modify it. And (if you're a web-designer or geek) more W3 standards-compliant. Notably faster, too (at least, for me).

FF is better. 2 reasons:

It has Tabs and security.

Also, if you delete FF it won't crash your system.
