Sort of in line with ADad on this one. Back when Cigs were more accepted A smoke after sex was a common practice, especially in mainstream thought and in older movies and such. A lot of the older films didn't have sex scenes but would show the first kiss and then cut to the aftermath where inevitably one or both of the characters would be lighting up.
Think of it Like Whew, I need a Cig after that. It's not really used in modern entertainment with all the anti-Cig feelings these days.

I think in older films , often the man who was attracted to the woman would light the cigarette for her. I guess its a bit of a flirt sometimes, in some ways its a courtesy thing , but some will read a bit into it especially if they like you in that way.

some people will light a cigarette for you as they do not want to lose the lighter I think aswell.

I have heard it all now. Means nothing. other than u got the lighter out first . he is flirting with you heavily and wanting to get in your pants next time put the cigarette out for him see what kind of meaning that has to him it could mean nice try but pants staying on. as a guy i have used alot of saying to flirt but never that. Good luck keep ur pants on.

It doesnt have any sexaul meaning.. It just means ur lighting it for them nothing more. I mean seriously, what kind of sexual desire is going to grow there?? But maybe for some people there is.. I duno it really depends on the person. I mean my friend smokes but I light his cigarette.

That's ridiculous. Lighting another person's cigarette means two things: 1) you had a light and they didn't 2) you're just being nice.

It's a romantic opening gesture. It's basically the same as buying them a drink.

The underlying thought is, "Let me do you a small favor, and then you have to stay and talk to me for at least a little while."

It "means" that you have to sleep with them...or at least that what we said when I was in school..it's a stupid way for a guy to try and get you in the sack.

He wishes it had sexual meaning. What a dork.

All it means is you are assisting him to get cancer as well as bad breath and brown teeth.
