Yesterday I asked about assumptions of Black women: I tackled some stereotypes that arent true such as

Black women being unnattractive and out of shape (not true)

Black women being portrayed falsely in Rap videos: (Black girls arent hos)

and Black women being dumb (totally not true)

I actually said that there are plenty of beautiful, educated and hard working Black women that arent getting any credit - MY QUESTION WAS DELETED!!

Whats going on here? I didnt do anything wrong but yet somone felt my question violated something. This is ridiculous!

yes, that is ridicuouls. but it's pointless to try to contact yahoo and explain why your question did not violate anything. i've had so many answers and questions deleted and yahoo claimed that they would look into the case...nothing.
dont stress over it. just post your question again and if it gets deleted a second time, then you know something's up.
good luck!
:)

I agree with you. Many famous black people are educated, beautiful and civilized. Many stereotypes believe minorities are not bright. Take Oprah and Tyra, both are very educated and beautiful. In a world like this, racism is ridiculous and everyone of every shape, color, size should be treated the same.

ignorance is bliss. some people cant deal with a beautiful educated woman of color.

oh well. as you well know, the world is full of hatred... not a whole lot that you can do to help fearful people unless they are ready to change that... and most never are...

wait until they find out that god is NOT an old white guy... after all 2000 years ago in the middle east where christ supposedly was born... um, what color were all the people (brown skin, brown eyes, curly brown hair - just like many of the arab muslims that so many "american christians" hate today)

I am a white woman and we aren't portrayed very nicely either especially if we are in a bi racial relationship. My husband is black and my children are obvioulsly bi racial, and I have received so many harsh comments. My husband is very well educated and has a nice job. Why is it that white people are so quick to judge because of skin color? Who said black women were out of shape? From my observation black womens skin has more elasticity in it (darn ya'll) my mil had 5 kids NO STRETCH MARKS...you stay lookin younger than us...(darn ya'll) Rap videos-lets not get started holy cow!?!? Cause I seen some white girls tryin to shake what they didn't have....lol...and black women are very beautiful!?! There are as many un educated un working white women as there are black....Man if one day everyone would see past color?!?! I just don't get it! But anyways hold your head high and do what you can to get ahead!!

how do questions get deleted? does a person actually look at the question? do they have that much staff? or do they have it set to automatically delete if people complain about it? that would reduce the cost of producing yahoo answers. and make it a self policing system. i answered a similar question yesterday, but if you post a question that offends ANYONE they can report it and i don't know that there's any real oversight/decision. it's a self policing system. i think.

There's alot of that going around. Alot of people here seem to just read key words out of a question and don't even read the question fully. Then they give you some ridiculous nonrelated answer, or decide they're feeling mean and troll you/report you instead. Just ignore it. Its internet idiots.

In this politically correct world, we are not allowed to express ourselves without someone getting offended.

I'm a white male who loves the uniqueness of all races. Sterotyping is a stupid way to go through life. Below is my gift to you. Enjoy.

and that is racism at its finest. hell my validvictorian was a black girl and she is going to be a doctor. Just like there are steretypes for black girls there are sterotypes for white, asian, hispanic and every other kind of women in the world! im sorry it happened but i dont see it ever stopping..but that doesnt mean we cant try.

'they' probably read it wrong or didn't bother to read it, I know 'they' had some long coffee break yesterday so that is probably the answer (I got a v.notice for defending the Irish once!, and I even got one in a hospital bed when recovering from heart attack of all things - nice eh? but hushhh you never heard this from me OK?).

:-))
