Friend of mine asked Me to ask a maiden question so here it is.
Any fans of Iron Maiden in the house today?
I've been a fan since day one. I got the album "The Number Of The Beast" on vinyl way back in 83 and I've been a fan ever since
My fave Maiden tracks are
1 Burning Ambition
2 The Number Of The Beast
3 Run To The Hills
4 Running Free
5 Flight Of Icarus
So, how about You?

I love Iron Maiden, so much that my husband gets jealous sometimes. I've been a fan since 1982 and they've remained my absolute favorite band since. I've seen them only 6 times so far, but the 7th is coming up in February (I ditched work so I could buy the tickets-oops).
Favorite albums are Somewhere In Time, Seventh Son of A Seventh Son and Powerslave. Favorite songs are:The Evil That Men Do, Flash of The Blade, Revelations, Remember Tomorrow, Stranger In A Strangeland, Hallowed Be Thy Name, and their cover of Doctor Doctor.
I'm so excited about seeing them again that I start jumping around at random moments and shouting "UP THE IRONS!!!"
As a side note, I must admit- I have a Maiden compulsion. I HAVE to own all their albums on Vinyl and CD, as well as buy all their singles, special releases, and singles on vinyl. I also have to own all the albums that they have released on cassette (even though no one buys cassettes anymore). So I have several copies of all of their releases. I also HAVE to own one of every shirt design they offer.
I'm a Maiden shopaholic, it's nice that I am married to a very understanding and supportive man.

I can't add anything else here. Not bad for a band that bought on a whim because the cassette cover was cool.
Favorite album:
Number of the Beast followed closely by Piece of Mind
Favorite songs:
The Number of the Beast
Run to the Hills
Wasted Years
Holy Smoke
From Here to Eternity
Hooks in You
Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter

My favorite band of all time.I have attended 4 concerts and i am 18.My first concert was on 1999 when i was 10!!!DAMN!!
I enjoyed every single, album, song they made...
The worst album was Virtual XI in my eyes and generally the period with Blaze wasn't the best one...
with Bruce Dickinson they created awesome songs and i am never getting tired of listening to them...
I have been fan from 1996 when my brother started to buying their CDs...i was pretty young for heavy metal..lol
My favorite album will go to:
Seven Son of the Seventh Son cause you really can't find a decent track. All of them are at least very good..Well i know that the sound and the taste of the listener is different on each personality but this is the best in my opinion...
As for songs:
*The Number of The Beast
*Fear of the Dark
*Dance of Death
*The Trooper
*Aces High
*Iron Maiden
*Infinite Dreams
*Childhood's End
*Alexander The Great
*Dream of Mirrors
*Brave New World
*These Colours don't run
*Hallowed be thy Name
and many more...sorry for the big list :P and i am sure i have forgotten lots of greats...
My only complaint for them??......
Since i am from Greece,i am willing to play here live the song called "Alexander The Great"...every time they come here we are requesting this song but so far nothing...
I hope that in 2008 when they will possibly come for their Middle Years tour involving the "Somewhere in Time" Album which includes "Alexander The Great"....i hope that the time to hear that song live will come....and i can ensure you that in the concert we will Break The Walls Down!!!LOL!

I saw Iron Maiden twice in the 80's - I knew "Run to the Hills" and that was about it, the 1st time I saw them (1985), yeah I'm a poser for admitting this, But I wanted to see Twisted Sister as the opener, but ya gotta admit when the "I wanna Rock" and all the others at the height of their popularity...
When Maiden came on, I was floored by heavy guitar, Dickersons voice, stage presence & big old eddie jammin on stage... I became an instant fan
Only to see them in '87 for their Powerslave Tour & helped in the process of booing "Waysted" off the stage... Me & my mullet had a great time at that show...
Far as songs go:
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Powerslave
2 minutes to midnight
# of the beast
Run to the Hills
The Trooper
Running Free
Charlotte the Harlot
Flight of Icarus
Aces High
Iron Maiden
Die with your boots on
Caught somewhere in time
Here's a killer maiden site!

Wow, you and your friend are old school like me! Vinyl! I'm so envious...:o) Iron Maiden was really important to me in my early 20's. They're just too good, and I could never choose my favorite tracks, although "The Number Of The Beast" is really impressive. IM were WAY ahead of their time. I never got to see them live, though :o(

Old school here too.
Their early stuff does it for me - Maiden & Killers.
Every metal cover band within a 300 mile radius was smokin their stuff.
░So, somewhere along the line, I became discombobulated, inundated, engulfed, overloaded, and immersed with Maiden░
