Yes, I would. No doubt about it. It boils down to who you are inside.

If you say yes, and it's because you dream of being a hero, you'll freeze up.

If you say yes, and it's because you truly believe in doing whatever you can to help somebody else, you'll probably be a hero.

There are 343 firefighters that fall into the 2nd category, and they all ran into a building on 9/11.

I have saved a life before, when I was only 7 I saved my best friends life.I put my life in danger, but it's the choices you make in two seconds that real define who you are, and i would do it again!!

Schopenhauer said that when we meet these situiations our humanity take sover and we act as a herd animal with an i-thou relationship.
I have experienced this when people were hurt but not dying I found a strength and stamina to act that was hard to believe in afterwards.

It is difficult to know what will happen till it happens as you say whether drive will kick in or fear.

depends on a situation. There are people who totally freeze like little ******* and there's freaks like me who will scream for everyone to get down before getting down myself. That part of being a rioting Hispanic comes in handy alot. We've seen people being beat up badly and we'll create a riot to make the attacker nervous and run away and at times its like we can read each others minds and if one dude has a knife and the crowd can over power him we all go for it.

I honestly think I would, at least I would try I know it's easier said than done but I can't sit back and watch something happen to someone and not try and help, I don't know if I would be good at it or even be helpful but I would try, I couldn't live with knowing I could have done something but didn't, it would haunt me forever.

For people that have had that rare opportunity and acted so admirably courageous - they will tell you that they just "did it". They didn't have time to think or rehearse the situation in their mind or anything.

Yes, without a doubt if it's my family, as for a stranger it determines what type of risk is involved and my own confidence but you better believe I'll do my best to figure it out quickly.

Just recently my friend and I were walking in the woods and bear was rustling in the path. Instinctively I jumped between her and the bear. I didn't realize what I was doing... So I would say yes.

saved my youngest brother from drowning 2x when he was 3.no thought was involved,it's instinct.don't hardly remember the details,but everyone was very impressed by it-it was no big deal to me then. but now I can still watch movies and go to the bar with him and that's the impressive part ....he's 30 and I'm 41!!!!
