Rednecks always drive pickup trucks with a shotgun rack in the rear window and a Confederate flag decal plastered on the bumper.Hillbillies live in shacks in the hilly wooded areas of Southern states.White trash lives everywhere,even in the North.White trash always wears old torn clothing and they have bad teeth.Trailer trash are any poor ignorant white folks who live in trailers.(Hillbillies become trailer trash when they move to the city.)The defining line between members of each group is often blurred since there are so many crossovers.

Okay I live in the region where those types of people exist. There's not much difference between a hillbilly and rednecks. But the main difference about trailer trash is not only do you have to live a trailer, but you have to have a trashy personality, kind of like Britney Spears (circa 2004-2005 and even now). That said you can be trailer/white trash without actually living in a trailer.

I don't know if there are any set definitions for any of these, but from my understanding, rednecks prefer the outdoors and country life to living in the city. Many like outdoor sports, like hunting and fishing. They put more value on family than money or material things. I think hillbillies are similar, but they sometimes have the bad reputation of being uneducated. White trash and trailer trash are derogatory terms for rednecks and hillbillies.

trailer trash are poor people living in trailer parks
white trash is just a general term for poor white people.

They are all the same thing, just depend on the person using the terminology. I think those words where developed to insult a certain class of people, but I know people who are proud to say they are a redneck, which is a way of life I suspect. I bet there are people who are proud and then there are people who find these words stereotypical and insulting.

Rednecks work and are proud of it. They are usually extremely patriotic.
Social elitists regularly misuse the term as a weak insult.
In human context, "trash" is considered an invective term which denotes a lack of self-esteem and social regard, no matter the preface.
