What were some of the economic problems in the united states during Nixon's presidency?

One problem was severe unemployment. The county where I was living at the time had an official unemployment rate of 11%. My husband couldn't find work, so he went to a technical college to get an Associate's Degree, but that didn't help much. There still weren't enough jobs until after Nixon resigned.
