Most definitely. For many reasons. This season my family has sponsored a family to share the holidays with and there is really nothing quite like the feeling of giving and sharing with someone who otherwise would not have anything. I can't seem to walk past a bell ringer without giving something in the red kettle, I have gone through closet after closet and donated even things that had the tags still attached ... Not only does sharing and giving to those less fortunate make me feel wonderful inside, it sets a terrific example for my children. Most of the time we struggle financially ourselves but I always remember two things: One that there are always others who have it worse than we do. Always. And the second one is that it will come back to me and my children times three. That's been proven. So even if you don't have much money this holiday season or are feeling the financial pinch, remember there are things you can do to "give" without having to spend a cent. Those are the things that mean the most anyway.
