I'm not homophobic, I love my home ... and my boyfriend.

Everyone else I'm quite fond of too, except hateful people ... I just feel very sorry for them. They must be very insecure.

I'm not homophobic no. My attitude is to treat people with the respect and kindness I expect from them. If they then do something to take this respect away they don't get it back. That's nothing to do with sexuality, colour, race or whatever.

Live and let live, that's what I say. And on another note, I used to to a club that held a "gay night" each week. Brilliant night out as it was a laid back, fun atmosphere.

I like the positivity and the fight for equal rights. It is a good model for how to win human rights.

When I was fourteen 1962 I went to soho with a friend and there was a gay coffee house there. We knew nothing about anything and were just looking at everyone and everything and it all seemed so exciting and edgy.

No not homophobic - like alternatives.

You know, you might get more of the response you are looking for if you re-post this question in Religion. I would like to think most of the folks here in LGBT and pretty open minded kind loving non-judgmental people.

I work with many gay women and actually really enjoy their company, there is none of the sexual tension you get with straight women.

Gay blokes are fine by me, I think Graham Norton is hilarious but I have to say in real life I find excessive campness a bit offputting. I would struggle to make a friend of someone who was very camp. If a bloke was gay and didn't make a big fuss about it I would not be in the least bothered by it.

No. Gays and lesbians are oppressed for religious reasons in this country and it is disgraceful and disgusting that people try to vilify others as part of their own personal agenda. Many gays and lesbians lives are still being ruined by attitudes from their past and their community and their family and it hurts to think of it. There are ways that gays and lesbians are hurt emotionally that, if they were straight, would be seen clearly as the cruelty it is. Prejudice and hate suck!

I'm not homophobic, and I've tried my best to avoid believing in stereotypes or being ingrained with the casual homophobia in today's society.

I've no problem with a person's sexuality whatever it may be, because judging someone on what gender they're attracted to is ridiculous. You can't (or at least shouldn't) ascertain whether you like someone or not based on that.

There's also the fact that it's an integral part of someone, like their race or gender, and can't be helped- it's cruel to harass a person because of something they can't change.

I know most of them cannot choose who they are. They are born Gay...Lesbian...Straight. I just do not understand why people cannot accept people for who they are. Gays are just like Straights...The only difference is in who they are attracted to. Take that away, and you have the same people!
