2 negative pregnancy tests and late period could I still be pregnant?

Question

My last period was October 23 and ended on the 26. I took two pregnancy test a couple days apart about 4 days ago. I just had a baby in July. I have had a period Aug, Sep and Oct. Could my period still being messed up cause of my recent baby or could my negative test be wrong? I know that not all home pregnancy tests are accurate but I would have thought they would be able to pick up the pregnancy hormone by now. Has this happend to anyone or someone you know?

and i cant take any birth control cause i have to take 2 kinds of blood pressure meds and they would interact with each other
i woulndt say i was stressed out either

just asking i will call my doc monday if i dont get it over the weekend

my last pregnancy i was really thinking i was pregnant so i took 2 test two weeks apart that came up negative..the day after the second test i went to a doctor and took another test and his exact words were "you are extremely pregnant" i was almost 3 months pregnant
so it can happen but i don't think it is very common

here is my story.....

I was breast feeding( I know you said your not) my 11 month old, but felt as though I was pregnant so.....
went to the store and bought a test.....it was negative
went back to the store 4 days later and bought another type of test, it too was negative....
waited a few more days, and went to a free pregnancy clinic, and it was negative.....
trust me I would never have taken the tests if I don't think I was pregnant, and my husband thought I was going nuts....
finally 3 weeks after the first test, I bought a 4th test, and it was positive. So I called my doctor, and she did a blood test and told me I was 2 months along.
long story short, don't trust urine tests.
My newest baby is now 5 years old.......boy was my husband surprised when I was truley expecting another child.
