i woke up this morning and i had some new spyware software on my pc and noone downloaded it, it was just on my desktop, not my add/remove programs, so i deleted them and im doing a scan with my panda antivirus software and im not finding anything. While doing the scan i keep getting security alerts wanting me to download stuff. My pc is running extremely slow. What do i do?

spyware doctor works the best ive seen so far it works great
you can try the free lavasoft adaware software
do a surch for adaware se you will find it at download.com
also in explorer tools manage add ons turn off all the toolbars and anny thing you dont reconise or isnt signed

Sounds like you got a virus and a hidden spyware. I find Panda Software is limited in certain area. Try download AVG free software. My IT guy at the office said it is better and use less memory on the computer. Another software you need is Ad-Aware, also free. It also sounds like your computer got hijacked by spammer to spam junk mails too. If all fails, then you need to get professional help to remove hidden viruses.

I had that virus not to long ago. Download Hitman Pro 2, let it do its virus scan, then I used SuperAntiSpyware and UnHackme. After I downloaded all the programs to my desktop, I put my computer in safe mode and let them do their work. I remember one of the viruses was "smitfraud" and I can't remember the other one that was really messing me up. Do some searches for those three Free programs and give them a shot. Good luck!

Your computer is infected. Use the scans below to clean it. Run the online virus scan and then download the other programs. Update them and then boot into Safe Mode and run them.

That's a rough one. You probably have WinAnti-Virus Pro, which is itself a virus; the hardest one to remove I've ever seen. You need to run download & run CC cleaner, download and update Super Anti Spyware, but don't run it yet. 1st run CC Cleaner, don't reboot, then run Super Anti Spyware, which will take about 2 hours. I recomend that you get a firewall and maybe look into "Sophos Anti-Virus Program". We have Sophos and it keeps all viruses and spyware out. Don't use the firewall that comes with Windows. It is not very good. Try looking up Mcafee or another company that makes quality software.

well the no BS answer is windows is NOT secure on the net no matter what you do. The solution is linux, mac, or stay off the net thats it !!!!
