Apparently the American military is now over 50% Democratic, so these arguments don't hold up any more. Since they are young, these percentages vary greatly year to year, but it's more than a 10% shift from 2 years ago. I think a lot of it is seeing how Republicans are completely unable to run a war. Heck, Bush and Cheney told the military leaders they weren't allowed to discuss what to do in Iraq after the war.

Because the American military fights for and defends the UNITED States of America, this question is, of course, a bad joke, but to answer it (so as not to be reported): Al Qaeda, of course.

They are, I hope, too intelligent to hate a ficitional notion: the "liberal" media.

i'm a veteran of the US military. i admire our men and ladies folk, my shipmates, sacrificing greater desirable than you could ever understand for our us of a. And sure, i'm a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT who used to rigidity a Prius. so which you would be able to bypass .... i will refrain from my sailor profanities. Why do you shame the boys and ladies folk serving and sacrificing for you and our us of a who would take place to accept as true with those liberal democrats? Newsflash: no longer each soldier, marine, airman, sailor or veteran is a conservative republican. Oh yeah, and that i think of you're an fool in case you suspect that merely attempting to appreciate our enemies, and attempting to dodge added American (and civilian) lives being misplaced is the comparable as "loving Al Qaeda and the Taliban." If we don't understand our enemy, if we merely vilify them and combat this conflict on merely a militia front, we are able to by no skill gain our aims in this conflict. era.

I would rank it this way:

1. Al Queda--they attacked us on 9/11, and most of them probably wish they could have gone to Afghanistan to do something about that.

2. President Bush--most of them, like most Americans, don't think he has a clue or like him because of what he has done.

A bipartisan poll published by Business Week in December showed approval for the president at a mere 36 percent among soldiers, their families and veterans.

I can only guess, as I'm not in the Military, but I would think my hte would be higher for those who wish to outright kill me then those who work against me while thinking they are working in my own best intrest.

Translation: Al-Qaeda is more hated by the military.

Are you in the military?

If you are, why would you pose such a question?

If you're not, join up.

If you have served your time, more power to ya.

If you're an armchair warrior, nuff said.
