The rovers which landed on our planet recently arrived from the blue planet populated by semi-intelligent monkeys.

(b)
Orbital period of the blue planet is 0.5317 years.
Assuming that all orbits are co-planar and circular, and the monkeys used as little fuel as possible (they experience severe shortage of fuels) how long did it take for the spacecraft to get here? Express your answer in years.

They have already done the calculations, and they are going to use a Hohmann orbit, which takes about 258.3 of their days:

So, after 0.376 of your years from the start, the semi-intelligent monkeys will land on your Red Planet.

I posited this question to my kindergarteners (got 2), and they said "I like monkeys and keys but what is RF?" "Second graders are so smart!"

Then they said, Daddy, "Those monkeys need to do half an ellipse to change orbits. They acclerate once to get into the ellipse, and once when they arrive here. Minimal Energy. Can we play with them?"

Interesting that a second grader is answering questions on thermodynamics. Why lie about something as stupid as that?
