I have had the latter and it hurts but it can easily change back the other way.
I only have one dream so as far as the former is concerned in order for it to shatter I have to die or make a major life changing decision. I don't see either of those happening today.
But if it happened, I would same my dream is less likely to be replaced so shattering it would shatter much of who I am. Ofcourse, fulfilling it would make me complete.

My dreams are shattered all the time, so I'd go with the people you love hating you as being more unbearable

I say the people you love hating you. I can't imagine it. Dreams can be rebuild if it is shattered, but to be hate by someone is tough on you for the rest of your life.

Plenty of my dreams have been shattered, so I'm used to it. But it's unbearable when I love someone who hates me. It makes me want to cry....... **sniffles and drops my head sadly***

You can always dream again, and find a new goal to go on, but being hated is so awful...
