its seems to me that it is getting worse coz everywhere i go i get this dirty look especially when i tell them my name or i say i'm a muslim.... why so much hatred on me when i didnt even do anything? i'm just a normal muslim doing a degree in uni right now

you should know this already........even though it's almost 2008 there are still an unusual amount of ignorant and narrow minded people in the world. Which I truly don't understand. I personally don't care what color or religion a person is, yeah REALLY. What I do care about is the character of a person. It really frustrates the hell out of me that this sh*t is still going on and on and on and on it's so friggin trivial and people should know better!

Speak out against the injustices being perpetrated against NON-Muslims in Islamic countries.
Non-muslims (esp. Christians) are suffering unspeakable prejudice, bigotry and persecution in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, Somalia, Indonesia, and all over the Muslim World.
If you condemn what these Muslims are doing and show appreciation and loyalty to the country that's given you freedom and an infinitely better life than the one you'd have in an Islamic State, then I'm sure people will think differently about you.

Speak out against the scum that has hijacked islam. Organize a group Muslims against radical islam. Some of the hatred may still be there, but it won't affect you in the same way. Hummm....Muslims against radical Islam....nice Tee shirt.

Some people don't like people that are different. It's just a dumb habit some of us have. I don't care if you're black and a Muslim you seem like a nice person.

I'm sorry that this is happening to you. It's simply not right. I personally may not agree with your beliefs, but I wouldn't hold that against you.
