Not likely. I'd give the Red Cross a check myself for the 5k and tell the person wanting me to save it to forget it. My hair is about all I have going for me at this point.

I have to admit, I never thought about it. But then, hopefully, no one will offer $5,000 to one of my charities if I'll let them shave my head and I'll never have to make that decision. I will say that I would hate to see your hair go. It is too much a part of the you we all know.

No, I would not. My face is very long and wide and I'd look like a fool. I once worked in a hairdressing salon and this hairdresser's answer to my long and damaged hair (too much color, too many treatments) was to cut it off in a pixie cut. Even though very thin at the time, I looked like a big-headed nut. I was embarassed. As a guy, being offered 5 thou to shave my head, especially for a charity, wouldn't be a big deal. You'll be back to looking ok shortly, and you would have known you did it for a good cause.

If it's something you want to support, I think it is a good idea. Would you shave your head if the $5,000 was coming to you? If you would and you like the red cross, go for it.

Last time I got a haircut I told her I wanted to shave it all off and she said "no, we don't need another Britney Spears". I think you should do it! The Red Cross helped me when I was down. It's a good charity.

That's a good deal, unless you're really attached to your hair or something. I've been shaving my head for the last 3 years, and I love keeping it short.

Lovely hair is a gift of God. Have nurtured it carefully for so long? Dont ever think of parting with it just because someone will donate $ 5000 to your favourate charity. In case you are disgusted to have the long, good hair, dont do it just like that, think, think and think...

Never really thought about it, but I'm a girl so it's rare for a girl to shave her head....unless your Britney, but she isn't really normal....I would do it for a good cause though.
Also, I was a swimmer so I saw all the guys shave their heads every swim year, and they would collect money from people who wanted to shave funny designs and donate the money to our Riley Hospital fund.
