I have 2 boys of my own, I'm pregnant with number 3, and I have custody of my 10 year old sister. So that is going to make me have 4 in total. I think that 2 is good, (haha) I always wanted 3 children, so I will have my own 3 children. + 1 with my sister because I do have permanent custody of her.

So far all the answers are great! I love them!! I want a big family I have 2 brother and 2 sisters and my husband had 3 brothers and a sister. I want my children (who are all 3, 2 years apart) to be able to play with each other growing up and have each others back! My sister on the other hand is 10!! She isn't much on teenage mutant ninja turtles...lol

I have 5 living children, 1 angel that we lost at 20 weeks, and am due in May. I'd love to have 1 or 2 more, but we're stopping after this one due to space and finances.
I don't believe in a number as far as Too many kids. As long as you have the love and support it takes to raise them, have as many as your heart desires.

I always say that I want 5 boys. But 3 is more realistic. If finances and the like are not an issue, I would still like to have 5. I love big families! But if we have a special needs child, that will most likely be the only one... Maybe 2 provided we have the time (I would like to be a stay at home mom) and the finances.
My sister is disgusted that I want 5 children. She has one and tells me that's enough, and she's not sure if I could even handle one. But my sister has it in her head that what is best for her is the best for everyone else. So... yeah, I don't pay her much mind!

I am pregnant with my first (a boy) and i would love to have 3 kids but i think because of my age (36) i will be best to stick with only 2.
I don't know if there is a number of kids that is too many. i think it is different for each family based on what they can manage and afford. I don't think i would personally want more than 3 but who knows how I will feel after the first one comes in April.

When we got pregnant with our fist child we said that we wanted 4. Now we have 2 children and are pregnant with our third. We are probably done after this one. I think that it was kind of ridiculous of us to "plan" how many kids we wanted before experiencing being parents. I'm fairly certain that I probably wouldn't be a good mom to more than three. I just don't think that I could spread myself evenly among them and their needs if we had any more. I am number 5 of 6 children and feel that I got kind of shorted when it comes to parental attention. I tell my mom all the time that she should have only had 3 or 4. It's like she got burnt out by the time I came along. Don't get me wrong...there are women out there that are capable of having more children without neglecting their children's' need for attention, etc. These are those supermoms. I only wish that I could be one of them but I'm not fooling anyone. I realize my limitations....

Its so hard to say mainly because I am pregnant with my first baby. (Its a boy!!!) I am so happy I got what I wanted on the first try. MY boyfriend happens to have another little boy from a previous relationship but we only have him every other weekend. So for my answer I have always wanted atleast two children because I am an only child and have always felt lonely. Now that I am pregnant I really dont like it. But I think that is because I am 32 weeks and just want my body back and am sick of being pregnant...lol. After I have this one I will see how I feel. I really do want another baby. But since my boyfriend already has one and one on the way he doesnt want anymore. Not to mention his first child is already 4 so there is quite a big age difference. That is what may make me have another child. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for listening Good luck. Congratulations on all 4 of your children.

Well at the moment i only have one (3 months old) i would have 4 but i lost my first one when i was 5 months pregnant and lost the other two at 3 months pregnant. I am looking to have another one later down the road them i am done. I think 4 kids are too many, for me anyways it's hard enough with one.

I want three. I will call them Charlotte, Elizabeth and Jack or Aurelia, Belle and William. Four is fine. I would probably like maybe 4 kids. I'm planning 3, but i think if you can cope, then go ahead and be a mummy for your children and look after your sister!

I have three daughters and for me that was a great number, my parents had 9 and I have siblings that have one or two. I would think that having more than say six natural children (unless it's a multiple pregnancy) could be a little selfish because you don't really have the time to spend with each child that they need and more and the older ones get stuck with having to help you raise them. Just becasue of sheer numbers, I think that that couple who has 17 children is being selfish and fooling them selfs. The older children probably spend a lot of time taking care of the younger ones and none of them probably get to spend quality time with their parents.

I'm only 23 so I've got a while till I start having a family. I've always wanted a large family, my own and hopefully adopting. I loved going to my Aunts house when I was younger, she fostered and the house was always full, it was great.
I'd say 5 in total, but I guess it depends on my situation in the future, financial etc :)
