I feel very afraid!
I wonder if I will be the one in a thousand people who get the worst side effects.

I suppose they have to be clearly stated so that every side effect possible is covered. It does look scary but thankfully the side effects are usually weighed up by the benefit of the medication, especially if the treatment like antibiotics is just a course. I think it is more worrying when on long term medication and the side effects are unpleasant but as long as it is monitored by a professional it should be alright!

I think, objectively, about the action of the medicine like a specialist in medicine! Incidentally, this is one of my special hobbies...exact knowledge about various actions of different medicines, on various human and animal systems. I also consult medical specialists, to gain a better understanding, so that I can help living beings better after obtaining proper medical prescriptions, from qualified doctors, duly understanding all the workings of the medicines. This is a great science, indeed, but qualified and licensed specialists must guide in each case, mandatorily.

it makes me wonder, how you can get diarrhea, and be constipated at the same time, and all those different side effects it just seems like you would need several other medications also to keep away the side effects so what is the point???

I know what you mean! Sometimes the side effects are the exact thing you're trying to get rid of in the first place! What the hell's up with that?

I know of a girl who had all the symptoms that the leaflet warned about and she ended up very very ill. We do need to read and heed the warnings.

The funniest thing about most of them is that the side-effects usually include the symptoms of the ailment you're taking the medicine for, i.e. Nurofen can CAUSE headaches, Penicillin can CAUSE a sore throat!

I don't read those anymore. They're too scary! If I have to take the meds, I just take them.
