Or do you let the store wrap things whenever possible? Do you spend a long time over each one and wrap them carefully, with consideration to how the ribbons and bows will look with the paper you've used? Or, do you shove a gift into gift bags and throw a bit of tissue over it to hide what's in the bag?
I take a long time on each one. And carefully coordinate the paper and ribbons and bows. I add little touches, such as threading a contrasting bit of curling ribbon thru the bow. Love using those holographic, sparkly ribbons, etc.
My daughter once told me she didn't want to open the gift, as the package was too pretty to get torn up.
Have you started wrapping yet? Mine are about half done. Since I only wrap one or two per day, it takes many days to get it done.

I love to wrap gifts. My daughter demands paper wrap so she can rip the paper off of her gifts. I prefer mylar foil wrap as it reflects the Tree lights. I also love the boxes you buy with the gift wrap already cut to size as these are so pretty and differerent. They look great expecially if you are mailing the gifts, they don't need a bow to look pretty. I love anticipating others reactions to my pretty packages. I only have my husband and step son to finish up. All gifts that have been bought are lovingly wrapped. I don't use the curling ribbon as we have three cats. One year one of my cats ate some ribbon and the surgery to remove it was over $800.00 so no ribbon is allowed in our house.
I buy all my cards and wrap after Christmas at 75% off this allows me to use the best paper at the least cost. My family always comments on my pretty paper.
I choose cards and paper per each persons personality. My daughter (my only chick) is almost 22 and still gets Spongebob and Tigger paper.
Wrapping is a trial as all three cats would be offended if I didn't let them help. I have had to throw out whole rolls of paper due to little claw holes. The little DEARS! They have so much fun with the little snips of paper. Of course sticking a sticky bow to a cats head is a Christmas tradition. Always good for a few laughs as they try to back out from under the bows.
Gosh I love This Christmas Season. May God bless you and yours. Joyous Christmas to everyone!!!

I used to, with all the decorations like you do, but since the invention of gift bags I've gotten lazy. I still put the extra touches on the bows that I tie on the handles, but mostly it is just the prettiest tissue paper I can find and stick it in the bag. I spend my time these days making fancy Victorian style pop-up Christmas cards that will be kept for years, and not tossed out like gift wrapping.

One Christmas I spent days doing a beautiful wrapping job on every present, including making lovely bows. Everyone tore into them and didnt seem to really appreciate the effort that I had made. Ever since then, I've been a gift bag person and can get the wrapping done lickity split.

I love wrapping!! I love to get creative. One year i gave a highlift jack (its about 5 feet tall). I rolled it in a giant sheet of cardboard, then mummy wrapped with duck tape, shrink wrap, two layers of gift wrap, and finally packing tape. I made sure to hide his knife Christmas Eve!
I love wrapping the boxes! So neat and pretty with ribbon and bows! And tissue paper with bags and ribbons!

I love wrapping gifts. I know when I get done wrapping I want to do more wrapping and then I would go to store and get more stuff. I got kids christmas paper. One with car frm the movies with cars since my boys love that movies. I got spiderman since my five year old into that and thomas the train since my three year old like that and charle brown and one of course with Santa on it. And wrap my five year old with spiderman and my three old with cars or cars wrap with car wrapping paper. I probably put the boys on when I am ready to put under the tree because I have them hidden or the kids would unwrap them. And I am half done the wrapping and hoping to be done next week or so.

Personally, I don't like wrapping gifts at all. I love to see the pretty packages though.

I enjoy wrapping gifts for my husband and girls, though if it is a odd shaped one I use a gift bag & tissue paper. I don't go to fancy as our girls are young.
