They don't.
I strongly dislike China, a communist country. I think hate is a strong word.
I am trying to not buy anything from China anymore. I always try to buy American, but it's truly hard to do. I also don't shop at Target or any other Communist or French owned store if I can help it.
They poison our dog food (I like dogs.. not cool at all). Then our toothpaste, then use lead based paint for our kids' toys and now ASBESTOS in the kids CSI crime kit. Really, this is going too far. I don't know if you know this, but lead is sweet. It really does taste sweet. Kids eat it. You know how they stick anything and everything in their mouths. It's crazy.

I don't think Americans hate China, nor Russia either. Not the people anyway. We're all people with the same needs.
It's the leaders we elect that's the problem. They're greedy and act like children on a playground taking sides for a game.
One country is deemed as a threat to some and not to others. They make financial deals, break treaties and spout off at one another.
It's the people of all nations who suffer for it.

I think Americans just hate international competition. Russia has more resources than any other country, including oil, and China is beginning to take advantage of their population and economic bubble. So now we have to compete with China, and India as well, and of course the Russians don't care who they sell to so we're finally being slapped in the face.
Hey, we wanted to get rid of communism so now capitalism is working against us in this way, and unfortunately I feel like the only American saying "bring it on!" so really it's almost a cry baby attitude problem. We ban illegal immigrants, raise minimum wage, compete for higher priced oil, tax for pollution, and to top it off, tax incentives are being provided for the relocation costs, even when they're outsourcing to Asia.
Don't blame the Chinese and Russians for taking advantage of our stupid way of running the country. The same politicians who criticize them for being evil are the ones who come up with the policies to the Asian advantage.

With Russia, I take Reagan's "trust but verify" stance.
With China, I can't get the picture or the image of the protesting student looking down the barrel of a TANK out of my head.

I don't hate Russians or Chinese one bit.
I wish China would clean up it's environment and that Russia would give it's people more freedom but other than that both are fine with me. Russians are beautiful and strong people and the Chinese are great technological innovators. What's not to love?

hate is the wrong answer. fear is a better response. Putin is a thug. And China's leaders are not out for their people either. They are out to secure their rule and their place in power. That is culture they come from and that is what they know. (The leaders).
It scares us because they fear us back. They cannot keep power if their citizens roll like the U.S. and get to vote and make decisions. That means fighting time and that's scary.

I honestly do not see that. Sorry but there is very little hatred of the Russian or Chinese in America. There is probably more fear then anything else that the governments of these nations might some day try to change the way live. Other than that I see no such hatred.

We do?
I will admit there is not the same level of trust as with the United Kingdom or Japan, but we do not hate them. Go back to the Cold War and you could argue that, but not today. Infact things have really gotten a lot better in the past 15 years overall.

Well, to start, all of us don't. No more so than all Russians hate the USA. Such a blanket statement is not the way of a wise person.
