I live in a newer residential area - the city has maximized the number of homes in an area and minimized the width of the roads as much as they can get away with. So here's the problem:
To get to my home, you have to enter off the main road road a t-intersection. On an almost daily basis, the individual living on the corner of the t-intersection insists on parking his huge pick up truck right after you enter the intersection. Effectively, anyone turning left cannot see anyone turning right off the intersection with this truck parked where it is. Those turning off the main road into the intersection have to turn wide either way because this car is parked so close to the intersection. If there's an oncoming car neither can see and with the roads being so slippery there's the potential that an accident can happen.
I called the city and they are unable to help. What do you suggest? I was thinking to leave a note on this dude's windshield asking him kindly to not park there..

well, I guess you can't do much in this situation. If the city administration is not able to help it means that parking in that particular spot is not prohibited. You can try leaving a note for the vehicle owner but I'm sure if he had a better place to park he would park somewhere else.

Where else can he park, if parking is that limited? I don't understand, because every city has some kind of regulation restricting how close one can park to an intersection, and if the person is abiding by the law, he is free to ignore your note, but be ticked off at you.

I don't understand...the city can't help? They have no ordinance on parking too close to intersections, or on sight obstructions creating an unsafe driving condition? Hard for me to believe. Here in Wichita, we have community policing officers who deal with these things and many other problems, directly, one on one with citizens...after all, you are paying taxes, right? Call the cops, have the beat officer come by and discuss it with him. I'm betting there's a violation there somewhere...K ;o)

As long as he is parked in a legal space, he has every right to park there! You could ask hom to park elsewhere, but he may or may not agree. If he does not agree, you just have to be very careful when you pull out!

i think that a note or a knock at his door it´s a good idea. perhaps, in a good mood, when somebody face another one trying to explain the point of the problem, i guess it works!
another idea is to collect signs from the other neighbors just to show him that it´s not only your complain.
Good luck!
