Yes.

It is not a good idea to discuss money unless you have to. As a matter of fact, I am not supposed to at all based on things I have been taught in the past, it opens me up for lawsuits.

A prudent person will keep such information on a need to know basis and sense most people don't need to know, s/he should change the subject.

So, yes, I avoid those subjects often, if for no other reason than it discriminates against and separates others.

I don't mind discussing how much money I make with my family and very close friends because they all know me so well, and have a good idea of what I make anyway. Would I tell a complete stranger? No, of course not. As for how much my purchases cost? I don't spend excessive amounts of money on anything - I don't have anything to brag about, so no, I don't discuss my purchases with anyone.

I don't have a income but I do not discuss how much my husband makes and he doesn't either, he has a clause in his contract that he is not suppose to talk about it--among other things.

I don't mind discussing the cost of a purchases, if I am asked. I do not openly tell a friend/family member what I paid for something....unless it is a great deal.

I don't generally feel comfortable discussing how much I make or talking about very large purchases. Smaller things - i.e. the cost of groceries and clothes, those I don't have any trouble discussing.

I don't really discuss how much money I make, but I don't see a problem talking about how much something costs. Anyone can do research to find out how much something costs anyway, so if someone is willing to give details about something, then price can be determined.

I never discuss how much money I make; however if I get a good deal on an item that I want to share with others so they can get the same deal I will tell them how much it was.

I don't mind discussing it with friends...but I don't post that kind of information online for strangers to see.

Well, money is not something that I really like to talk about. Is something not that interesting and is rarely in my mind.
