When I turn 17, my mother said I can get a tattoo. And yes, i want a tattoo - dont tell me I'm too young.
I either want, one of these two:

Which one should I get? Also, where should I get it. I'm thinking either the inner side of my arm, shoulder blade, I'm not sure yet.
Oppinions would be great, thanks!

not the lower back, everyone has them there...
My opinion... on the side of your tummy, higher on your back, on your hip :)

The first one is really nice! I like it a lot and I've never seen one like it!
I am pretty conservative about my appearance, so I would put it where I could wear a strapless formal and it would still be covered.
I know that it is popular to have them on the lower back, but I still think that the right tatt for you will still look great there!
I also love the idea of just above the front of a hip bone, too! I have struggled for years with where to get one and I am getting one on each of my big toes! That is because I am almost always Barefoot and love toe rings and barefoot sandals, so that is the perfect choice for me.
If I got one on my arm, I would probably get it on my outer right wrist, so that it could look like a bracelet, plus it would probably relatively small. That's just me.
Take your time (not as long as me, though) and really think it out. Think about all situations that you may be in over the next several years and how the presence of a tattoo could be a factor in any aspect of your life. GOOD LUCK!!!

I like the first one better as well. I would say shoulder blade. You do have to think of your future (some employers don't want you to show off your personal art) and it would be easier to cover than the inner side of your arm.

I got a tattoo at 17 with my mom's permission too!
I like the first one on the shoulder blade.

your mom can say.. but until your 18 a tattoo artist prolly wont be willing to do it .. even with mom's permission..
i'd go with the nautical star though.. the other is over done and in 5-10 years it will be over and you will regret getting it..
also youll never make it through a inner arm tattoo..
go for the shoulder blade.. maybe even the thigh or calf.. easier to show it off and care for..

when you get a tat, you want to be sure of what you get and where you place it. if you are asking for opinions, you are not commited to the design. may i suggest that you get a tat when you find the one that you just HAVE to have. it should be something special to you that you will cherish always. otherwise, you could regret it. it is such a permanant piece of art!!!!!

If you really wanted a tattoo, you would choose it YOURSELF. Since it's going to be on YOUR body. Don't let people on Yahoo answers tell you what to get, or even get their opinions, because it doesn't matter. It's not like you even know these people. And you are too young to get a tattoo, by law, so THERE.
