I can get from point A to point B in my town using backroads that will take me HALF the time than it would if I drove the highway. i hate being around other drivers. So yeah, backroads, 90% of the time.
During the tourist season, the tourists start to follow the locals through the backstreets thinking they're smart and that they'll get to wherever they're going faster. I like to lead them all over creation, through mud bogs in their Escalades....Tee, hee,hee. It's so mean, yet so satisfying.

1. Only time I would consider using a (hands free) phone is if someone is giving me directions. Any other time, no way, it's ten time worse than DUI. 2. I would be rich if I had cash for every time I've muttered "nice car, shame the indicators don't work" 3. There are times when you can't turn right on red and it's not always clear, for instance when there's a "No right turn on red" sign which is about the same size as a bus ticket in a hedge. 4. There's always going to be eejits when there's lane closures, some are chancers others are just dozy, just take a chill pill. 5. If the parking lot is near empty then maybe it's OK but really for the sake if a few seconds and safety these people need counselling. BQ: Most annoying bumper sticker "I slow down for horses." (Why? They don't pay road tax). Best comeback sticker to that " I speed up to run over small furry animals."

I take the back roads because there's less traffic on them.

usually take the highway. back roads around my place are full of potholes and no curbs, just ditches.... i'm not quite in the backwoods, but close to it....

if i em trying to get away the highway... it is quicker........ If i need to keep you closer , longer, then it will be the good old back roads..... better places to stop and love at!!!!!!!!!1
