isn"t a good idea 2 have "Worst answer" option in Yahoo answers?

Thats a good sharp point I got it from my momma.lol..of course 20 points may draw more answers(worse ones) in to question.LOL

Man Its easy to find the worst answer even among 1000 answers,They would pop out and blink like bunk.

I always thought of that, & like the person who gets voted as WORST answer should lose 10 pts. & also lose the amount of pts. for thumbs down-opposite of a person who gets 10 pts. for BA & gain more pts. for amount of thumbs UP. I think with the worst answer, people would be tired of losing points & that might straighten people up so they won't be so rude & hateful.

It is so seldom that anybody ever votes for "best answer" I can't see that anybody would vote for "worst answer" either.

I think they need a "hall of shame" for worst questions or questioners! Like:

People who constantly ask the same stupid question over and over untill finally somebody gives the answer they wanted to hear all along like; "Am I beautiful (photo attached)?" .
People who ask questions and never go back to vote for best answer to their question.
People who ask questions where the english is absolutely indecipherable.
People who ask questions that do not have the necessary information to help them solve the their problem like "could you tell me why the product from my chemistry experiment wasn't green enough?"
People who ask questions that would require writing an entire book for them like "could you tell me how to build a house?"
People who "reserve" the coveted first response position by writing some stupid comment, then go back later and edit by copying verbatim my answer, after the fact, so it looks like they had it first (I've had this happen).
People who are so profoundly ignorant that they pick an answer that is obviously wrong as "best answer" because they can't even recognise the correct answer even when it is put in front of them showing all the work/equations etc (this happens quite often in math/science and similar topics)
The thing that annoys me the most of all is people who post questions, and you spend like 20 or 30 minutes working out the problem showing all the steps and explaining why you are doing it that way so there is some miniscule hope they might learn something, and then when you try to post the answer you find out the asker withdrew the question!

I don't think it is a good idea to have worst answers.Every one here in Q/A gives their answer accordingly how they comprehend and how they feel on the questions. I don't think there is wrong and right answer here,this is mind to mind communication. Let's not make this place into a mud wrestling place,we have a enough at work ,home etc.Let's make this website relaxing , fun and informative Questioning is an art,become an artist. Vannili

I totally agree! My sister posted a question and got some really absurd answers or just plain rude that didn't pertain to the question at all. So I have to say Yahoo should add that as an option.

Yes. But could we still get 10 points for that if we are the ones who are giving the worst answer? I know I would have a lot of those.

No because this place is a popularity contest and the wrong people would always get "worst answer" picked.

I think they should bring back the ability to thumbs down a question.

YES! haha, I get so many bad answers, some of them are completly idiotic and ridiculous, good idea. I would suggest it to Yahoo. :-)

as long as the points don't go down then it wouldn't matter to me, i would think that people would try and get worst answer. :O)
