It all started about 3 days ago, when I had a little sore throat, it was fine, didn't any worse but not any better. By yesterday my nose was a bit stuffed, and last night i noticed i was kind of sore so I took a hot bath and went straight to sleep. Then this morning I woke up and I was so sore I could barely move (and I still can't it's not getting any better) I had a very stuffy nose and my throat was sore. I stayed home and slept till 10, and have just been relaxing on the couch the whole day but I still feel awful! I took some medicine but it didn't help.
Do you know what it could be?
How long it will last?
and anything I could do to help feel a bit better?
Any help will be really good! thanks! XX

It sounds to me as though you've got the flu or something similar. What I would recommend is to drink lots of water, take some vitamin C and get plenty of rest. I usually find that when I'm sick, it takes anywhere from three to seven days to completely go away - although, the last time I was sick took almost two weeks.
You'll want to refrain from drinking anything with caffeine or alcohol, simply because they dehydrate you. Also, taking over the counter medication doesn't necessarily help. If anything, OTC medications keeps your body from being able to get rid of what is causing the illness.

Sounds like flu if you're feverish, aching all over and feel like you can't get up and do anything - flu can last for a week or so.
If not, it's a bad cold which will get better quicker than the flu and you'll feel much better in a day or two.
Take some lemsip and ibuprofen and take it easy. Ibuprofen works better than paracetamol at bringing down a fever and inflammation. Drink lots of fluids too.

Sounds like flu and it is awful but it will run its course, drink plenty of water, eat healthy vitamin packet food and try to sleep it off. Another method is sweating it out (some say it works every time?) ive never tried it myself but its worth a go. Put on as many layers as possible when you go to bed and turn the heating up full. Hopefully you will sweat it out of your system and of course painkillers.

your body is a miraculous thing.
it can heal itself awfully quickly. but if this continues on after a week I'd pay the doc a visit.
and you should not even be on the computer right now!
pop in a dvd and get a blanket, rest on the couch while watching something!
:D

You've got flu, give it 10 days and drink plenty of water.
Lucky you're not a man, this could be the onset of man-flu which is very serious [only in men]

sounds like you have a good cold. I've had one for a week with no relief. I guess it just has to run it's course, which sucks, because I'm ready to cough up a lung. Just rest and take care of yourself.
