There's a guy in a class I'm taking in the evenings I have a crush on right now. It's WEIRD, because he's not my type at all, and he gets all red-faced when I talk to him so I know he likes me back, but I lose about 30 IQ points around him too. There has to be an evolutionary reason we're acting like this, yet have not asked each other out for coffee.
Oh well!

Well, it's more than just a crush...it's love. I'm secretly still in love with an ex of mine.
It's a secret because NONE of my friends like him. Most of them judged him based on past mistakes (waaay b4 we were together) & refused to get to know the real him.....

I feel your pain. I too fell in love with one of my best friends and was too afraid to tell him (for that matter anyone) until years later. It ended up that he was gay too, and we were quite a happy couple until something happened... but for you, I would suggest trying to stay in as much contact with him as you can without telling him just yet. 8th grade is really early in the whole scheme of discovering yourself, and he may end up being gay yet, or he may already think he is and may just not be ready to come out yet. Keep close to him and see if something happens. Another thing you might do is talk about a mutual gay friend and see what his thoughts are on the matter, or (if you don't have a mutual gay friend) talk about a gay celebrity good luck with this!

I usually don't keep it a secret... I had one on this girl that I was really close friends when I was in college, but I was afraid to say anything because of how good of friends we were.

Now you know I can never tell. He's in one of my classes and he tries to act dumb so he can ask me all these questions after class-but he is so smart- I think it's so funny and cute to. He's Handsome as well.
