I would say giftcards, but most people think that's a bit too informal for the holidays. Giftcards are more for birthdays. Same with cash.

I don't really know what to tell you. I have the same problem. Last year I went through all the ad's of the newspaper and just wrote down anything that looked neat that I thought I could use somehow. You could try that.

If you're concerned with your health, ask them for some kind of health magazine subscription or something. Or a tredmill or elliptical or whatnot. You get the point. Things that are health related somehow. Almost everything is these days.

Best of luck to you.

I have the same problem, my husband and my daughters boyfriend has been asking me that question for weeks now.

I really don't know what to tell them--I really have all I need and want so what ever they get is a plus!

After my daughter and her boyfriend hounding me, it came to me--candles, I LOVE candles so that would be a great present for me!

I think hubby is getting me a cappuccino maker but I don't know what else.

So think of all the things you like--candles,bath items, arts and crafts, different flavor coffees, ect.
I do not like telling people to give me money, to me, it seems like I am begging.

I'm the same way. 3 people are asking me what I want - one of them said anything under $500. But I still can't think of anything I want.
I think it's a sign of contentment and a good selfless nature.
I told them to surprise me. I told them some things that I like (including chocolate), and asked them to just have fun shopping!

Tell them books. You can go anywhere in a book, regardless of your health. If you are unable to hold a book, ask for books on tape or cd. An inexpensive tape player or cd player can be obtained from discount stores (like K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Target...) for around $10.00.

Gift certificates to your favorite stores and restaurants? That way you can decide later what you 'd like, and it is more personable than cash.
If your health is an issue, then maybe something that would make things easier?

Well as we all know only God can give you your health back. But in order for that to happen you have to have faith. As for what to ask for... If you truly do not need anything material wise, ask them all to pray for you and keep you in their prayers. after all the bible says their is power in numbers. If one can cast out thousands imagine what several praying for the same thing can do. Keep God in your thoughts this Holiday and God Bless you and yours:)

We all need something. Are you short on toilet paper? Paper towels? Bath soap? Laundry detergent? I mean, never say "nothing." We could always use something.
