No wild dogs, but I have a family of ducks that arrive each Spring and take up residency in my swimming pool. Mom and her babies. It's the cutest thing. I feed them and my husband gets pissed off - lol. He says, I'm only encouraging their return. Yes, that is the reason I do!

Did I count the days correctly? Is your birthday the 12th? Any which way, we're Sag's - the best sign! Idealists and bold. I am of the age where you do not ask a lady her age. But, I will tell you that I have a few years on you - so respect your elders!

There are some coyotes around here, not too many 'wild' dogs but most run free and go home to eat/sleep.

Yep. Kansas City, KS has got homeless dogs all over.
I guess the ones born on the streets could be considered "Wild". Nobody feeds them or takes care of them.

When I was living with my ex boyfriend in North Carolina, his basset hound had puppies. She had about 8 and they were adorable: golden or black retrievers with stubby legs and elongated ears.

Only one problem: we didn't know how to get rid of them. They were mutts and nobody wanted them. So we went to the pound and they agreed to take the puppies.

Well, I guess the puppies knew their fate because when we came home, they were gone! They escaped from their pen and ran off, creating a pack of short-legged mongrels which could frequently be found in the streets of the nearby town.

And they say, to this day, sometimes you might see one of the fiends out of the corner of your eye when you're in Louisburg, NC... but when you turn to look, they're gone...

(Okay, they don't really say that, but it'd be nice if they did.)

Yes, and they seem to only be in sight at night. They're rarely on the main streets, but we need to watch our butts on back streets. One girl around here carried dog biscuits with her, as she walks home from work at night. Then...there's the occasional coyote around as well.
