Isnt it kind of annoying when they are shopping and just HAPPEN to stop right in the middle of the isle while theres 10 people behind them waiting?
I'm not saying their bad people...lol.....but they should at least move over and let people go by especially if people cant go around them.

It's a true statement that you are making. Unfortunately, a lot of older people do not have enough balance to move to the side area when they stop. Many cannot hear other people behind them. Many cannot SEE other people behind them. It is very hard for the older group to actually get into a crowd of people, as they know they are slow walking, slow thinking, and can't remember what they came for.

It's not just the old people
and not just this time of year.
you are just more aware of it this time of year because you are in a rush.
there are people out there that stop dead in their tracks all the time for no reason.......I watch people all the time and if you are a people watcher you can see how many people are walking around brain dead...not a clue as to what is happening near or around them...just in their own little world.

Bowsgirl is right.
I can't tell you how many time I've had to push my way through a group of teenyboppers who think hanging out in the middle of the aisleway is a good place to be.
The older people who do it get more consideration from me because they're old and can't move quite as fast.

I love it when they crawal around the parking lot looking for a parking space in their big old Caddies or Lincolns that you know they only drive around holidays sitting so low in the driver's head you can just about see them..

yeah, it is annoying. I kinda get sick and tired of saying "Excuse me" after a while. Somethimes you want to scream some huge lie on top of your lungs so that you can get through like "Everybody move!!!! My son is dying, and if you dont move, they'll have to drive the ambulance right over your wrinkled body to get to him!!!!!!" But of course, you never do, because that would be mean. ooooh... temptation temptation... lol

GOD that's so annoying
this helps a lot- not just at xmas but anytime you don't have 3 hours to screw around in wal mart on a Saturday and you want to get in and out quickly.
I went to the army surplus store and bought a camoflage jumpsuit. I wear it during crowded shopping, and people think I'm a soldier and automatically "have respect" and move out of my way.
It's pretty cool :}

This bothers me a little - when I get out of work at night and go to a store, and there's someone really old in front of me taking their sweet time. I always think to myself they didn't work all day, why do they wait till the evening to do their shopping?
I know it's awful to think like that but I can't help it.

I hear you! I went to the dollar store yesterday to look for gift bags (they actually have nice ones there) and it was PACKED FULL of old people... Like the place was infested. All I had was a little hand basket cuz they all had the carts... They were running them into all the displays and parking them all ******** around the store... Then this little old lady came up to me and started b*tching because she couldn't find any ribbon for her wrapping paper. She was yelling at me like it was my fault! Grrrrr. Old people.

Everyone does it and it gets on my nerves! My ever so patient fiance pushed a lady's cart to the side hard after she ran into him with it and didn't even apologize!
