Sorry to say but now your going toe to toe with a paralegal lol... your going to have to get another lawyer to back you up for this case.

Do u have another case open with that present attorney?

The reason why your attorney cannot get your car back, is because I'm guessing you have an open case with him or her already. and to add on another case. that may not have anything to do with your current case.. would result in costing you a lot more money than you bargained for.

He/She is doing you a favor. It's not just that either. He/ She cannot open another case that has nothing to do with a case you already have... that is by far the only reason as to why i can see that he or she will not take another case for you.

You will have to sue that paralegal. He's ******* you over for the money for your car. You will have to get another lawyer and file another case regarding the above dispute.

Is the car still in your name?
Has the information been switched over?
Who has the car right now?
How long ago did you sell the car to him or her?
Was there a written contract?

Ill check back to see if there are any further details

Where do you live that a paralegal "represented" you during your divorce???? Paralegal's aren't allowed to give legal advise or represent someone in court. The attorney probably isn't doing anything because whatever his paralegal did wrong, he's ultimately responsible for.

Good luck with this one, your probably going to have to find another attorney to go after the attorney that paralegal worked for.

Sue her for the balance of the loan, or repossess the car.

Is there a problem with your divorce? How did they "misrepresent you"? A paralegal just prepares the papers; they aren't supposed to give you legal advice.

If I keep in mind wisely, CA is a community assets state. meaning all sources, costs, and so on. are chop up 50/50 for the time of the divorce. besides the undeniable fact that there is room to haggle, in case you will. in case you only want between the automobiles, you may say you do no longer care to chop up the relax of the "toys" (motorcycle, automobiles, and so on) in case you are able to only get that one interior the divorce settlement. as long because of the fact the divorce is uncontested, meaning agreed upon, you're able to do it your self. I did and it went extremely easily. If the divorce is contested, by ability of the two social gathering, then a lawyer is needed.

the attorney can't represent you because it would be a conflict of interest as the paralegal's employer. I am sure the lawyer explained that to you.

Report it to the Ethics Law Board or whatever it's called.
