If you buy a ticket to get into one of their events for New Year's Eve- (Rain is $100, Ghostbar $300) do you still have to wait in line, or do you just get let in with your ticket?

Getting into one of the upper-tier clubs on New Years Eve is like the Holy Grail in LV. NYE is THE holiday in LV. Chances are, you're not the only one to have said tickets and will still wait in line UNLESS you pony up for table service (usually several hundred bucks). If you get table service, you'll get in pretty darn quick.

Only so many people are allowed in at a time but you could time it just right and not have to wait. But once you get in nothing is free

That is cheap to get in without a line, pay some more money, or tip someone well. A good casino host can see to it you don't stand in line. Talk to your concierge or casino host.
