I have trouble with forgetting. I am always afraid the person who did me wrong is going to do it again on down the road. I always keep my guard up. I think it's wise to do that.

Hi! I hope I can help you to see both sides. Forgiving is not as hard as it may seem. I believe in not holding a grudge. But it, like anything else takes time. I feel that there is enough anger, sadness and hateful bahavior in this world. Make yourself a support system. Always ask God to help you to forgive . Trust me it helps. Asfar as forgetting, you never really do forget. You will find forgetting is a thing that takes time as well. What I have found is it gets better as time goes by. The older you get the more you will find, that this memory is so far away and you will not remember all of the details. That is forgiving and forgetting. I hope this helped you.

Forgetting is harder, but sometimes it's hard to fully forgive because you can't forget.

Both are hard because in order to forgive you have to be able to forget and to forget, you have to be willing to forgive

Forgiving is easy, for me. But, with forgetting ... all it takes is one word, and an emotional scar can open up ... and be as fresh as the day it was inflicted. Forgetting is impossible.
