Yesterday in his press conference, President Bush asserted that Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell told him “we have new information” on Iran’s nuclear program, but “he did not tell me what the information was.”
This morning, the cast of Morning Joe chided Bush’s claim. Co-host Willie Geist said, “It’s just not a credible answer, I’m afraid.” Host Joe Scarborough ripped into Bush, saying that president is either “lying to the American people” or is simply “stupid”:
"We are left with only two options here. Either the President of the United States is lying to the American people about what happened during that meeting, or the President of the United States is stupid."

You make it incredibly hard to answer this question because any rational person, with a brain the size of a pea will have to accept that both assertions are true.
You know that credibility is seriously remiss when one speaks of GWB.

I don't always agree with Scarborough but I do here.
Just imagine how that conversation must have gone down.
adviser: "Mr. President, there has been a change in Iran's nuclear program that I am afraid must affect our national policy"
Bush: "what is the change?"
adviser: "I'm sorry Mr. President. I know but I can't tell you. Your just going to have to make policy without knowing"
Bush: "Okay, If you think thats best"
How many people believe that? Just not credible is an understatement. Its completely ridiculous.

Both, of course. And toss in "dangerous" for good measure.
It's not just that Bush lies; every president has lied in one way or another. What's asinine about him and his whole regime is how fundamentally stupid they think Americans are. Well, for a certain percentage they're quite correct, but the point is that BushCo is really sloppy about their lying.
It's almost goofy that Georgie is now repeating his idiotic chant from 2002 -- "Oh, I just KNOW they've got them! I KNOW it! I just KNOOOOOOOW it!" And of course the appalling thing is that some people are actually still going to believe him.
History will brand Bush II the worst ruler in U.S. history -- if not in WORLD history as well.

"He did not tell me what the information was."?
Was is meant to be a surprise? Does the pres not have the security clearance?
Bush is a liar, just a very bad one. As far as stupid goes I will remind everyone that he was put back into office in '04, the real stupid people are the ones who voted for the guy.

Bush isn't stupid. It's apparent to anyone with an IQ above 80 that he's lying. He's caught in so many lies they can't be counted. Still looking for that mushroom cloud that Sadam Hussein the Al Qaeda member will drop on our heads?

I'm going to say stupid. No one says he should tell the media classified information but at least come up with something that makes sense. He NEVER does. So really it is both - but it is more stupid because he can never get the lie together in a way that makes sense.

Yes I believe he's lying to the American people again. Bush has a daily National Security briefing.

Bush is one of those 'challenged' children who will parrot whatever they are told in hopes that their 'caretakers' will pat them on the head and show them affection. I think he functions on a very low level of intellect, so low that he can't even tell the difference between the truth and a lie. He just says what Uncle Dickie tells him in hopes that Uncle Dickie won't yell at him and tell him he is a good boy.

Conservative Republican Pat Buchanan echoed the same thing on Scarborough's Tuesday morning show.
Buchanan stated that Biden should get off the campaign trail and hold hearings on the matter by calling in everyone who was involved.
