I quit smoking a little over a year ago, but recently I've picked it back up again due to little bits of stress adding up and bowing at maximum velocity into my face. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas to relieve stress. Cause I don't wanna start my problem with cigarettes all over again.

a couple of things could help. try taking a walk when you feel the stressers piling on. or, find an innocent pillow and beat the crap out of it.

Just promise whole heartedly never to smoke again , even when you are under tremendous stress.
In the early days, when you give up smoking , you tend to lose usual normal mood of yours. That's occasion when when you have to resist your temptation to do so.
Why not keep some harmless chewable stuff or some mouth fresheners with you always.I am sure you will be successful in giving up smoking since you had done so earlier too.

God Bless

I know the feeling, I suggest chewing gum when the urge is strong, otherwise to relief stress, go out for a jog or just go out for a walk. Try engaging yourself in something that will get you to forget that you want to smoke.

I just stop thinking and just did things directly without taking any tension.

This helped me a lot and increased me confidence to face problems.

I know the feeling and my doc put me on prozac to help with the stress and it really does seem to help. Talk to your doc and see what you can come up with.

take a walk, use deep-breathing techniques, work out crossword puzzles or do a sudoku, watch a funny movie, talk to someone who makes you laugh. most importantly, just keep your hands busy as well as your mind.
