Read "Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus"
It was printed by the Chicago Sun in the early 1900s and is reprinted every year by almost every newspaper across the United States.
Christmas isn't about a fat man in a red suit ... well unless they can get Mark Mangino to dress up in one but then they would have to call him Jayhawkclaus.
It's about the spirit of the season, the celebration of the birth of our redeemer, Jesus Christ. About the wise men who presented him with gifts upon learning of his birth.
Christmas, unfortunately, has become more commercial then religious because of the way people's perception of the holiday.
Now if I would have just listened to the Easter Bunny when he told me Santa Claus wasn't real.
But the Bible does mention a stranger who comes forth fleeing from the land of the North. So is Santa Claus really a fraud?
I've never heard of him being arrested for breaking and entering.

My parents kept the santa thing going until I was about 9 and caught my dad putting the presents under the tree in the night. I had some doubts before then because we didn't have a chimney and I watched alot of the Xmas shows and just didn't understand it.

Santa Claus is for toddlers, who quite has been badly effected in youthful people, by ability of believing in Santa? i'm beneficial no person ended up mentally disturbed or in disaster in later existence. Santa did no longer replace Jesus for Christians, Christmas continues to be a social gathering for the delivery of Christ...as a Roman Catholic we rejoice with the addition of hour of darkness mass and prayer. the only situation with santa, is the indisputable fact that this myth icon has been used as a motor vehicle for consumerism by ability of people who earnings from it. yet isn't that often the difficulty in a capitalistic society? although, without loose business enterprise and capitalism how might usa fare? no longer properly, i've got self belief. All in all, for toddlers I embody the assumption of santa..the youngsters love the entire theory of him, and that i of direction additionally venerate Christmas as a holy day, a kin day, and an afternoon for a prepare of humble generosity. it is genuine fee although, is it being the day that marks the nativity of Jesus. God bless.

I would say 8 or 9, never under the age of 8! Because it is pretty devastating to a child and you don't want them going to school to early and breaking the news to other children!

The age sorts itself out in that children pass on the info or they peek at the wrong time!
But if they still believe as teenagers someone had better give them a talk.

My child is 5 and he believes and I will continue to give him reasons to believe at least til the age of 10 or 11.
I was 11 before I learned the truth. Ignorance is bliss (ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU GET GIFTS!)
Cheers

You are never too old to believe. I don't really endorse it, but at the same time, I believed in Santa when I was younger. I just came to my senses one year and he more or less faded away as the TRUE meaning of Christmas began to take root in my life.
Feel me?

when you can't say you believe in him with a straight face?
Newsflash: most kids stop believing by the time they start school because some other mother's little darling has informed them. The kids just keep it up to not disappoint the parents.
