Never to me, sometimes to ppl I know. It's a scientific thing: the part of your brain that controls muscles still tells 'em they're "asleep", the part controlling conscience is fully awake. So you're groggy and paralyzed until you fully wake

Yes, Ive done that and all kinds of other weird things. Ive sat up in bed and had a complete conversation with my husband, and the next morning, not having any memory of it at all. I was also a sleep walker when I was a kid.*

Yeah, and I ended up rolling out of bed at 6:05 in the morning. That's not good when you live 20 min away froom your job and you're supposed to be there at 6

Yes, it's a chemical reaction. Your brain releases a certain sedative into your body while your sleeping to keep you from moving and hurting yourself. When you wake up suddenly or are still half asleep, that chemical is still in your body, which doesn't allow you to move.

Yes that happens to me all the time. It happens to me during bad dreams too. I'll try to wake up because the dream is bad but I can't.

yeah.. you're mind is awake and alert, but your body isn't quite up to speed yet.. it means you should just go back to sleep.. your body needs it,
I haven't been sleeping right lately at all anyway though.. it sucks.
