Im sorry, but my keyboard doesnt have power to the 3 or power to the two...
So i will use symbols:

"=2

Simplify the following:

(x + 5)* - x( x + 3)" - 7x + 4

And please show me your work, because this confused me a bit...

So you really mean

(x + 5)^3 - x( x + 3)^2 - 7x + 4

(x+5)^3 = (x+5)(x+5)^2 = (x+5)(x^2 + 10x + 25) = x^3 + 10x^2 + 25x + 5x^2 + 50x + 125 = x^3 + 15x^2 + 75x + 125

x(x+3)^2 = x(x^2 + 6x + 9) = x^3 + 6x^2 + 9x

(x + 5)^3 - x( x + 3)^2 - 7x + 4 = x^3 + 15x^2 + 75x + 125 - (x^3 + 6x^2 + 9x) - 7x + 4
= 9x^2 + 59x + 129

A = (x + 5)³ = (x + 5) (x² + 10x + 25)
A = (x + 5)³ = x² + 10x² + 25x + 5x² + 50x + 125
A = (x + 5)³ = x³ + 15x² + 75x + 125

B = x (x + 3)² = x (x² + 6x + 9)
B = x(x + 5)² = x³ + 6x² + 9x

C = 7x

D = 4

(A - B) - C + D is given by:-
9x² + 66x + 125 - 7x + 4
9x² + 59x + 129

(x + 5)³ - x(x + 3)² - 7x + 4
break it down
first term
(x + 5)³ = (x+5)(x+5)(x+5)
= (x+5)(x² + 10x + 25)
= (x³ + 15x² + 75x + 125)
second term
x(x + 3)² = x(x² + 6x + 9)
= (x³ + 6x² + 9x)
now collect all terms
(x³ + 15x² + 75x + 125) - (x³ + 6x² + 9x) - 7x +4
= 9x² + 59x + 129
