Dear Child,
Although a Lap Dance is a Cleaver and Cute answer, I really don't think it's appropriate from a Child, especially for Christmas. Not to sound Prudish or Old Fashioned, but as a Parent my greatest wish for a Christmas Gift from any of my Children is not a thing or a tangible piece of merchandise, but the most valuable thing you can give your Dad is your very valuable time. If you want to spend some money on him take him out for a quiet dinner, just the two of you and talk about your lives. Sounds corny I know, but one day you'll realise that it was not only the best gift you ever gave him, but also the best gift you ever gave yourself. I no longer have my Dad, but if I could spend just one more day with him, it would be just that, talking, asking and listening. Find out all you can about your Dad, tell him about yourself, and you'll both have a gift you'll Cherish Always. A close relationship and a Best Friend Forever.
Good Luck and Merry Christmas,
Patty

Try ideas of things you know he likes. IF you want to keep the cost low, try making something home made for him. Bake him something he likes or get him some thinsulate gloves or car scraper if he could use those. (Thinsulate lined keep the hands extra warm in the winter. That's good when you have to clear off the snow outside and it is cold out). If you live in a warm climate, try getting him some item if he is into any sports team or likes something like fishing or hunting.
The sporting goods stores or someplace like Gander Mountain carry these. This place may have a website to order from or look at online. If all else fails, I see a commercial right now that shows a guy saying to another guy at a store , like I always say; it's tools not ties for christmas. (LOL) Seriously, if your dad is a handyman type he can use some items like a maglite flashlight or a multi purpose tool. He may need a new screwdriver or hammer just also. Hope these are plenty of ideas and gives you some suggestions. My dad loved the new light fixture I gave him when he was helping me out with something and the plastic on his melted from the light heat so I got him a metal one. It can be used all year round and you can get this at any store practically.

If your Father is into sports get him a jersey of his favorite team. If not get him a Nintendo DS with the new brain age game, he'll love it! Best wishes.
