I recently bought some checks. The day after ordering them I moved to a new address. Had no idea I would be moving, so now my checks have my old address. They've already been shipped, so there's no way to change them. Do I need new ones? Can I use checks with the wrong address? My mom still lives at the old address - don't know if that makes a difference.

most places don't care as long as the name matches your license. No sense in buying new checks as they are pretty expensive unless your bank gives them out for free. The only real consequence you may run into is that if you lose them and a gentle hearted person finds them and tries to return them he/she won't know where to return them. Chances are pretty slim though.

You could hand write the new address, but you may have trouble using the checks if you don't get some with the new address. At a retail store, they must very that the address on your checks matches the address on your drivers license. If you only mail checks, it probably won't be as big a deal.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at FREEPEOPLESCAN.COM

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a personal background check.

Did you get the checks through the bank? If you did, did they charge you for them? If you got them at the bank and they were free, go ahead and order new ones. If you ordered them through the mail, you can use them since your mom lives at the old address. Just keep in mind that some places will not take a check if the address does not match the one on your drivers license.

It's not necessary for your address to be on your checks you can just scribble out your address. Or keep it since you do know someone that lives there. My checks currently have the wrong address and last name on them and I've been using them like that for over a year ;) and haven't been told that I need to get new checks! I scribble out the wrong last name and put my new one and scribble out the address.

Lets make this clear, real hackers would NEVER tell their victims that they have their IP address and are going to steal their important files. The guy you encountered is simply a douchebag. A true hacker can and will gain access to anything you have as long as you are a target.

I still use checks from my old address. It doesn't really matter anymore. If they want to verify they usually just get your license number and birth date. I would keep using them.
