This is a collection of Senior sites from the San Antonio Library. You should be able to find an agency to call and find a contact, in the links. I know our local senior center does that by using the volunteers on duty. It is also possible to call your local Ombudsman to get that information, if they do not know they are willing to find out. Another choice is to call the local hospital and speak to the social worker/patient advocate and ask this same question, I am sure they can tell you what is available for her.

I volunteer to deliver "Meals on Wheels" and if they have that where she lives that's an ideal way to have her checked on!!! And, that she's got a meal. I always chat with them a little to make sure their okay!! I hope this helps!!

Every town should have that , if not then maybe see if people in the church are willing to do so for their elderly members.

Yes there are. My dad had one but I don't remember the name. The church got it for him. He had a thing he hung around his neck to push for emergencies...they set a time and called everyday to check on him.

You can check with a local church or we have LifeLine down here that calls to check on people who are unable to get out and about or are by themslves.

my sister sunday day class does it -- i do not know of a private or govt service that does == one sure way if they have it in your area check into meals on wheels - that way they will get a hot meal and be check on daily!!! myself i am looking into seeing if there is a "drinks on wheels" program!!!
