My 9 year old daughter is CRAZY about Digimon and Pokemon. I would much prefer princess and ballet decor for her room (which is current) but she is nuts about these shows and the characters. I I decided to give in and get her the bedroom set but they do not come in full size to fit her bed.

I can find twin flat sheets and pillow cases. Usually I'm crafty and creative but right now I'm working too many hours to think straight. What can I make for her out of those items. I have the idea to make a comforter out of the sheet, back it with fleece and quilt it.

Any other ideas? What about the pillow cases? Any creative ideas? I had thought of perhaps a tote with draw string. I do sew quite well and am otherwise very crafty so any ideas you have shouldn't be beyond my skill.

Thanks for the input!

I love the wall hanging on the dowel. I don't think I want to go with curtains since I won't have anything else decorating the room. It is still pink girlie stuff. She as posters though so the wall hanging would be great. Thanks.

If you're overworked, keep it simple. Make curtains. Or make dresser and night table scarves, or a wall hanging on a dowel. If she goes on sleepovers, a tote made from a pillow case would be nice.

As far as the pillow cases, they should be standard size and will fit any standard size pillow.

You could find a full size plain color sheet set that matches the pillow cases. You could make a quilt using the material from twin sheets plus other coordinating fabric. I am sure you could find a pattern you like online. My dad quilts as a hobby and he uses lots of sheets he finds on sale.

You can also use the sheets to make curtains, I have some of those too.

Or you could buy a duvet cover for a full sized comforter and cut a square out of the middle, cut a matching square out of the twin sheet and you have your matching comforter cover!

You could use the pillow cases and stuff them to make smaller throw pillows.

I'm sure you will figure out something and since you sew I am sure it will turn out geat. Good luck!
