You will make it. If this isn't too personal, do you mean AA recovery?

Belonging to AA is a lot like belonging to a religious group. There are people who will not forgive you, people who will not believe you've made a change, people who will belittle you and try to lead you back to your old life.

You can only take care of you. Forget what they all think. Nobody likes their neighbors much anyway. ;)

U have to give time time!!! Rome wasn't built in a day. Its really not about them forgiving or forgetting... Its about u and staying clean/ sober. By doing that ur doing what u need to do. First things first..... staying clean must come first!!! Later for the neighbors right now. Stay clean and sober, make ur meeting , share with ur sponsor and everything will fall into place.

Irish,

Let it go, man. Turn your bad feelings over to your higher power. This is where the wisdom part from the serenity prayer comes in. Those are good words to live by.

Your neighbors' insensitivity, well, that's their problem and one that they will probably never address. In the meantime, forgive them for their trespasses, leave them with a clean slate, no regrets.

You're a better person than you think you are. You know what your problems are and you're addressing them. Give yourself some credit, bro.

If you need to blow off steam, you know where to find us.
