Considering what the gunman said about at least being famous when he died, do you think it would work to refuse to name these people when they do something like this? It worked when the NFL and MLB decided to give no camera coverage to streakers and other nuts on the field!

Good Idea. But the problem is deeper than that. How about they limited the amount of time people like that could spend in front of the TV.

I think it's appropriate to name the alleged shooter in the news, but I think America's fascination with the gory details about the shooter's life only encourages people who are attention-starved.

I've been shopping in that very mall before. It really makes you think...
