I'd pick Florida. I live in Michigan and it's just too cold in the winter and although the snowfall is preety at first, most of the long winter season is cold, slushy, muddy, snow and you have to be so careful driving. Florida has such a wonderful climate and I'd just have a pool to cool off in during the hot summers. I'd probably want to live near South Beach. Florida is still not too far from Michigan if I got homesick unlike California. Hawaii would be awesome but it's way too isolated from the rest of the states.

I live in Florida and will probably always live in Florida because I love it so much! I live in the Tampa Bay Area and I love this area so much. I hate cold weather!

FLORIDA -- I live between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, I was actually born here 57 years ago. I prefer green and it is year round here. But it nice to visit places with cooler weather for the short term, especially in the summer. The southeast Florida coast has an Atlantic Ocean breeze so during the summer months it is usually not as hot as the Orlando and Tampa areas. And during the winter the gulfstream helps to keep it warmer. I have relatives that moved to Oklahoma, North Carolina and Texas but they have all returned. Houses are more expensive per square foot, but they meet stricter building codes than most areas because they need to hold up to high wind speeds. A coat could last the rest of your life.

We are full time RVers and have seen every state in the country and our favorite is south eastern TEXAS! The hill country and pineywoods areas are the best!

Why? The cost of living is reasonable, the people are VERY friendly (in general), and the weather is for the most part great. They get enough rain so that things are lush and green! Plus, there is NO state income tax!!! Our favorite locations are Conroe, Livingston, Columbus, and Navasota. San Antonio is one of the best large cities.
We've been through all of Florida and they can keep its humidity, hurricanes, crazy folks (high crime rates), high cost of living, bugs, snakes, taxes, and trash strewn highways.

Florida as well. I grew up here but have lived in NH, ME, IL, NV, NM and WA. There is no place better than South Florida. Especially when it's December 7th and as I write this it's 79 degrees. Can't beat that!
But I'd choose Germany over anywhere in the US including FL.

Western Arizona. Not to hot, not to cold. Beautiful scenery and no natural disasters. I love Florida for a vacation, but I couldn't live there. The summers are to hot and humid and there are to many bugs. The cost of living is less in Arizona too.

I'd choose to live in Florida also. Most of my life I've lived in Texas. It's not that bad and it's not so country as everyone thinks, but I just don't think this is the place to be for me.
