nope..none of those movies....
In this movie he thinks he kills her and in the end sees he doesn't. there was an arcade scene in the beginning....I don't remember seeing his parents just him in the house and that guy telling him to do things

hmm.. the only movie that I remember (aside from The Wizard which was actually early 90's) is .The Last Starfighter.. Kid starts playing an arcade game obsessively and is then recruited to fly an alien battleship for some reason.. I don't remember much about it, although I do know he had a girlfriend...

...I thought maybe you might be refering to the Emilio Estevez segment in the 1983 horror/fantasy anthology, "Nightmares"; however, in THAT film, the character just ignores his girlfriend, in favor of the video game, but doesn't kill her...
