Yes, in the trailer it looks like a musical-type thing.

It's an adaptation of a Broadway musical about a barber, back in the 19th century (I believe) who starts murdering people to revenge past wrongs. Saw it in the theatre, but I'm not sure if the movie is a musical. Either way, it's a good story (but if Tim Burton directed it, I bet the gore will be super-stylized, like Sleepy Hollow...).

It's about a Barber whose life changed because of a judge who took away his wife and daughter and that same judge is trying to marry the daughter, so Sweeney Todd turns into a killer and claims the life of the people he shaves.

Sweeney Todd tells the tales of a homicidal barber who has a cohort cut up the bodies and make meat pies.
it is (obviously) a black comedy, but it is also a musical.

It's Sweeney Todd, and it's a film version of a musical by Stephen Sondheim. The musical is fab, so I can't wait to see the film!

He's a hair guy and he kills his customers and cooks them and sells them lol at least...that's how I remember it. It's supposed to be a weird musical comedy. I don't think eating people is very funny but it's not like you think!
