We do at my house, but I'll be at school and go, "Well last night at the dinner table...." and somebody always goes, "Wait, you actually talk at your dinner table? We just eat and leave."

My 13 year old daughter and I have great dinner table conversations. Her friends eat with us once or twice a week, and they love our conversations. We talk about God, music, politics, fashion, sex........ They're amazed that we talk so openly about everything.

We certainly do - not earth shattering or deep conversations usually, but we do talk while we eat. Of course, with 7 people between 11 and 45 at dinner, it's hard *not* to talk :)

All the time, I have dinner with my 3 kids every night, and when my husband is home (he's in the navy) he eats with us too. It is the best time of day, and it really keeps us close as a family.

That's sad, huh? We always had conversation, we still do, unless we've spent the day together, then we eat on table trays in the living room...how can you sit there and not talk? Baffling!!!!
